Week 8: mini miracles!

Ciao a tutti! I survived week 2 and lemme just say I finally understand what missionaries mean when they say the days are so long but the weeks fly by! I feel like I've been here in Colorado for 5 years but also 2 seconds at the same time HA (nothing better than a good exaggeration). Anyways, this week was good and I finally feel like I'm getting the hang of everything! We had a zone meeting on Wednesday which was fun because I got to meet all the missionaries in our zone. The ZLs talked a lot about having spiritual power and being recognized as representatives of Christ. It's amazing to think that I am literally standing in the place of the Savior. Doing His work and inviting others to become like Him. SO COOL! We also talked about Facebook finding and how to act natural and friendly over Facebook--lol instead of just scaring everyone off by stalking their profiles and asking random questions like: "I see you like to ski! I love to ski too! Anyways do you believe in Jesus Christ??" I'm still not very good at facebook finding so if anyone has any good ideas plz help a girl out!

On Thursday we had a training for all the greenies and trainers with the mission presidents! President and Sister Palmer are so great and I'm excited to get to know them more. Something I loved from the training was when President said: "The main thing you are inviting people to do is to have faith in Jesus Christ. When people can gain that faith everything else will fall into place."

Some mini miracles that happened this week:
-Started doing this new thing where whenever I am biking I pray in Italian. (Kinda like my mom who always prays while running on the treadmill.) This has helped me SO much with the language and also my relationship with God.
-We had an amazing conversation with this Baptist Pastor named Susan about the Plan of Salvation because her grandson recently passed. I shared Alma 40:11-12 and she loved it. Spirit was so strong, she started crying and gave us both hugs:,)
-We found 2 new potentials! Robert and Junior--total rednecks who both live in the trailer park. The coolest part is Sister Aiono has tried to talk to them for the past few weeks and they never gave her the time of day until now!
-We had a great convo with Zuriko's 16 year old sister, Brenda, and she agreed to join us for scripture study next week! When I first met Brenda she looked me straight in the eyes and told me that she hates white girls:) So it's been my mission to win her over and we are buds now haha!
-WE ARE MOVING to a non-members house that is actually in our area! We are hyped cuz our bike ride will now only be half as long and we won't have to show up to church dripping in sweat every week!
-Last the best of all...Zuriko and her fam came to church:)

I've been reading in Mosiah this week and I love chapter 14 which talks all about Jesus Christ. Verse 7 says:
"He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth."
Christ had every reason to complain, yet he never did. He experienced more pain and sorrow than we could ever imagine, without once complaining. This really humbled me and made me appreciate the Savior's willing heart. I've made it a goal to never complain (at least outloud haha) and I've already seen how it's made me happier!

I love you all so much! Thanks for your emails and all the support--I appreciate it more than you know:)
