Week 15: JB!?!?!
First off, lemme just say I haven't had FOMO my entire mission until today when I heard Justian Bieber came out with the greatest song in the world:,) If you're reading this go listen to it for me!
Anyways....it was a good and busy week! Seriously each week gets busier and each week I get more stressed but the work is going good! Lots of awesome lessons with friends and members this week, lots of bike rides home in the dark, lots of good cooking by my companion and lots of tender mercies:)
- It was my beautiful mom's birthday on Friday! She is so amazing and I wanna be just like her. I got to call both my parents and also mio Fratello, Elder Pitt!! It was so wonderful to talk all together and share our mission experiences❤
- We found a free couch on FaceBook and made the ZLs pick it up for our apartment ! Wahoo don't have to do comp study on the ground anymore
- We went to baby Amara's 1 year old bday party😎 the bouncy house was the highlight of the week tbh
- Watched a 100 year old deaf grandma try to hit a piñata
- We had zone Conference!! It was the greatest thing ever:) also I forgot to put on my mission tag so I wore Elder Dustin's lol
- Highlight of the week: met a new friend named Jules on Facebook! We have been sending her Bible verses for weeks and this week she reached out to us and told us she's really struggling in life right now and would love to come to church. We gave her the address and told her we'd meet her there! We met her at her car Sunday morning and she was pretty shocked to see how young we were lol. As we were walking into church with her she stopped us and started to cry. She told us that when we reached out to her a few days before, we had sent her exactly what she needed to hear, at the exact moment she needed to hear it. She is going through a lot right now; leaving an abusive husband, living in her car, struggling to find a job and wanting to see her kids. Our message truly saved her life and pulled her out of the dark place she was in. Wow. This experience really put everything in perspective for me. I could literally feel God's love for her working through us to reach her. I told her that she was a precious child of God, that he loves her and wants her to be happy in this life. Such a great experience, such a good sunday!!
God is good & this is the best work in the world. I love Colorado! Viva la Italia!
TANTO AMORE,
