Week 17: Rainbows

Ciao a tutti! Whatta great week:) General Conference was incredible!! What were your guys' favorite talks or insights? I especially loved President Nelson's counsel to "Let God Prevail." So powerful! When we choose to have an eternal perspective and unwavering trust in God, life doesn't have go be gloomy or fearful. Life is amazing. God is so mindful of us. We are living in an world that needs Christ now more than ever before! Confrence was a bit of an eye opener for me. I've decided I need to stop waiting for this storm to pass and notice all the rainbows🌈

Last thursday we were just sitting in the church doing weekly planning when we heard a door open. A couple of seconds later this guy walks into the foyer and starts talking to us. He straight up asked us what church this was and if he could learn more about it. WHAT. We ended up talking to him for a good hour about his life, his beliefs, our beliefs, The Book of Mormon, the purpose of missionaries, etc. It was amazing!! His name is Kevin, he's 45 but thinks he's 25, dresses like a skater and is obsessed with cool cars lol. He's got a really deep Christian faith and has been baptized three times but wants to find the true church. So hyped to teach him!

Another new person we met this week is Sandie! She is a referral from some Elders in South Dakota who met her online. She is a young, single mom who is really struggling in life. She broke down and told us she wants to feel connected with God but just doesn't know how. We both testified of God's love for her and helped teach her about prayer. The spirit was so strong and she left the lesson with a smile on her face. I know the gospel is exactly what she needs to feel true happiness!

The highlight of the week was the baptism of our sweet Maliana. Her whole family was there, the spirit was so strong and Maliana was beaming. Everything that was said and everything that was felt, really just testified of the truthfulness of this church. My testimony of baptism grew x1000 because of this experience. To make things ever better, my amazing trainer Sister Aiono got to come! Of course after the service we all hung out and drank Otai:) Oh what a blessing and miracle it has been to be a part of bringing the Teaupa family back into the church. I love them so much and will remember them forever.

Thank you for the all the support! I love you all so much. Remember to let God prevail! Let Jesus take the wheel! And look for your rainbows!!
