Week 39: snowpocalypse
Heyyyyy this is gonna be short & sweet cuz I've been slacking on my weeklys lately! But this was an awesome week! Our zone hit / exceeded all of our goals! Everyone seems to be super motivated and uplifted after an amazing Zone Conference:)
This week we got to go on 2 full exchanges with some of our amazing sisters! It was so fun to be with them & learn so much from them. I think one of my favorite things about the mission is getting to know other missionaries, learning from their testimonies & watching them find joy in the work! The missionaries here in the FOCO mission are incredible and God definitely knew I needed to meet them.
Some of you might have heard, but Colorado got dumped on with snow this last weekend. We were stuck inside all day Sunday because it was coming down so hard. Then, the next morning we woke up to 3 feet of snow on the ground & a text from president declaring a "mission-wide service day!" So we went out & helped people all day long! Shoveling snow, uncovering cars, pulling trees off of homes, etc. It was so awesome! As we were walking around neighborhoods looking for people to help, I said a silent prayer in my heart, asking God to lead us to someone who desperately needed us and that we could make their day better. Low & behold, we were walking back from helping a lady who reached out to us on Facebook, when we passed another other lady shoveling her driveway. We offered to help and just started shoveling with her. We talked with her a bit and told her about our calling as missionaries. We were able to clear her driveway and sidewalk in just a short 20 minutes! When we were done she looked at us with tears in her eyes and said, " I have been out here for almost 2 hours trying to get this job done, and I was praying to God to send me some help. And I know that he sent me you two angels. You were an answer to my prayers." My heart just about melted. In answering her prayer, God answered mine as well. This was such a tender mercy for me and helped me to remember that God is aware of every. single. one of us. He answers prayers & most of the time, he answers them through other people! So this week I want you all to go be an answer to someone else's prayer, and I promise you that in the process, you will get your prayers answered as well!
Vi amo tutti!!💙
