Week 21: double dunkeddd
Ciao:) It's been such a great week and I am so grateful to be a missionary!Prima, happy birthday yesterday to the cutest and coolest 7 year old in the world--I love and miss u Chasers❤This week both Raiden and Henry got baptized! Double dunked baby. It was the happiest day ever. Seeing how the gospel has changed this family just makes my heart so full. When I first met Henry, he wasn't interested in the church, had a beer fridge in his garage and thought "mormons" were polygamists who rode around on horses and buggies. BUT if I wouldn't have known any better, I would have thought he was a member! He is constantly serving everyone around him, always making others feel so good about themselves and is a wonderful father to his kids. He truly personifies the attribute of charity and he will do amazing things as a member of the church! I can't wait to see where his decision takes his family and I'm so excited for them to be sealed in the temple next year.I was so stressed about the baptism coming together but everything turned out great. Even if Henry was checking his phone every 5 minutes to see if the Broncos were winning😅 (btw-they won by 1 point in the very last second, lol God pulled thru for my guy Henry). There is such a special spirit and immense feeling of joy that is felt when you get to watch someone, who has allowed God to prevail in their lives, follow the example of the Savior and enter the waters of baptism. It's these moments that make me realize why I am here on a mission, during this wild time, in Colorado and not Italy. To meet these amazing people who needed me to teach them the gospel, but even more than that, I needed THEM to teach me. I have learned so much from this family about just truly loving and serving those around you. No matter who they are, if you know them or not, if you like them or not, they are children of God and deserve to be loved!!Anyways, God is so good and this church is so true! If you are going through a hard time right now, don't forget that your Savior understands you perfectly. Reach out to him and he will lift you.VI AMO TUTTI,A very happy Sorella PittI promise u wanna look at the pics this week
