Week 32: sister pitt or sister hick??

CIAO! Wow this week flew by. I never thought I would enjoy the month of January...but the mission has a way of turning terrible things into great ones! I'm seriously so grateful to be out here serving the Lord:) Becoming more like my Savior each day and reminding everyone just how much God loves them makes me so happy! Mission life is the best life. Good luck getting me to come home one day mama


Some Highlights:
-had a bomb lesson with our golden part member family and we are gonna put their daughter Cashlyn on date this week:) when we asked her mom about it she told us Cashlyn has been wanting to be baptized for a year now! Crazy how some people are just so prepared and ready!!
-3 of our awesome familes came to sacrament!! I sat through the meeting with so much love in my heart; offering prayers of gratitude for all the blessings we are receiving. Sundays have become like paydays. Heavenly Father is just so good and is helping us in so many ways!
-Saturday we planned to contact 10 less-actives who we've been trying to meet forever....and every. single. one. answered! Some were angels and other were annoyed but either way, it was a miracle filled day!
-butchered a sheep. Yup. Just another day in the life. Almost puked but I held it together and got the job done! (Don't look at the pics if u have a weak stomach;))
-literally starting talking with a western accent the other day. HA and I didn't even realize it until the lesson was over! Sister Jepsen and I just fit right. I swear if I'm here any longer imma become a hick😅

ANYWAYS, I'm loving the experiences I'm having here on the mission. This is the greatest work in the world and I'm so happy to be apart of it! I love waking up with the same purpose every morning. I love the Book of Mormon. I love the gift of the Atonment, and the endless amount of second chances that it gives us. I love this gospel and the pure joy it can brings to every soul, even in the midst of this dark and scary world. This gospel was made for YOU. Never forget it!

**the subject line is a direct quote from our ysa Nigerian member who I'm convinced is gonna be a prophet on day lol Ciaooooo!! Life is so good! Here's a quick update from me:) - I have never been so happy! Seriously I have just been soaking up the good & the bad & everything in between. Week 8: mini miracles!

Ciao a tutti! I survived week 2 and lemme just say I finally understand what missionaries mean when they say the days are so long but the weeks fly by! I feel like I've been here in Colorado for 5 years but also 2 seconds at the same time HA (nothing better than a good exaggeration). Anyways, this week was good and I finally feel like I'm getting the hang of everything! We had a zone meeting on Wednesday which was fun because I got to meet all the missionaries in our zone. The ZLs talked a lot about having spiritual power and being recognized as representatives of Christ. It's amazing to think that I am literally standing in the place of the Savior. Doing His work and inviting others to become like Him. SO COOL! We also talked about Facebook finding and how to act natural and friendly over Facebook--lol instead of just scaring everyone off by stalking their profiles and asking random questions like: "I see you like to ski! Week 72: To the most amazing parents in the world!

Mom & Dad, On my 5 hour train ride this morning I had a lot of time to think about my mission and all of the amazing experiences I've had. With Thanksgiving coming up, I've been trying to reflect on all of the many blessings I have received over the past 17 months. Secondary to the growth in my relationship with God & Jesus Christ, is the growth in my relationships with you two. I cannot even begin to describe how much I love you. I am amazed at how lucky I am to have you as my parents, my best friends, and my biggest cheerleaders through life. I have grown to become even more grateful for you both as I have been serving the mission. I think back on the person I was 3 years ago and it's hard for me to recognize that girl. I was not my happy, funny and cheerful self. I was so self consumed that I seemed to abandon my relationship with you guys and with God. I can't even imagine how hard that must have been.
