Week 40: long live elder pitt!

HEY FAM! It's been such a great week! Flew by. Each transfer I've been here keeps getting faster & faster! Lowkey makes me sad because I wanna be a missionary forever hahaha:) We saw many miracles this week & many prayers were answered. More than anything, my testimony of prayer has grown the most this transfer!

This area has been pretty difficult to find new people to teach, but for the past 3 weeks we have found 1-2 new people each week! Our goal this week was to find 2 new people. We had been praying hard to reach our goal & had faith that we would. It was already Thursday and we were still at 0. So we went to meet this guy that the Elders had passed off to us and come to find out he has 2 teenage daughters that joined us for the lesson:) So God pretty much dropped a miracle into our laps. We felt so grateful & blessed! So hyped to teach this family because y'all know I love teaching families!!

This week I was also praying hard to see some success on Facebook. I hear all these stories throughout the mission of missionaries finding amazing success on facebook but honestly I've never had much faith in it. Until this week! When I decided to exercise my faith & be super bold on facebook. I straight up just started asking people to come to church or meet with us & WOW. Why haven't I been doing this for the last 9 months?! We found 3 solid potentials and 5 who wanna come to church! My mind is blown. It's so amazing to see how God continues to answer my prayers as I exercise faith:)

Also I read a talk this week that changed my life. It's called "By Divine Design" by Elder Rasband. It talks about how there is no such thing as coincidence & that when we are faithful and obedient, the Lord will literally guide us to exactly where we need to be.

"Our lives are like a chessboard, and the Lord moves us from one place to another—if we are responsive to spiritual promptings. Looking back, we can see His hand in our lives."

Looking back on the past 9 months, nothing has gone as I planned, but everything has gone exactly how HE planned it to go. The Lord is leading me along and I am learning so much as I go:))

ALSO I wanna give the biggest shout out to my brother Elder Pitt who will be finishing his mission tomorrow! He is the greatest example to me of Christlike love & steadfast diligence. Serving at the same time as Prest has been one of the biggest blessings in my life. My favorite thing that he has taught me is that the mission is not about what is best for me, but what is best for the people I get to meet:)

Love you all so much

TANTO AMORE,
Sorella Pitt
