Week 42: faith to sit through the rain

Hi everyone!! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter/Conference weekend! This week was good. God blessed me with another polynesian companion:) Honestly by now, I can say I'm polynesian at HEART. Sister Tia is amazing & we're excited for a transfer of miracles!!

Transfer weeks are always a bit crazy but as soon as my comp got here, we got to work! On Friday we were out contacting formers and we went to go see a girl named Zarah. I type in the address and pull up to the apartment that is tells me on the maps, #129. We say a prayer & knock that door. A lady steps out and we ask if her name is Zarah. She said no and that she doesn't know anyone with that name. SO we took this "accidental tracting" opportunity to teach her! We opened up the Book of Mormon & read with her. She loved it and wanted to meet again!! As we got back in the car I double-checked the address on my phone and realized Zarah's apartment was actually #128! WHAT? I know for a fact that was not the number I originally saw. So wow MIRACLE! I knew God led us to that door to find that woman:)

On Sunday we were on Facebook, inviting everyone we knew to watch General Conference. I really wanted to invite this girl I had been talking to a couple of months ago, because she had been asking me questions about "a living prophet" and "the mormon broadcast". But I couldn't find my messages with her and I could not remember her name to look her up! I asked my district for ideas on finding her name and an Elder responded "pray." You think I woulda learned by now to always say a prayer first! So I said a simple prayer to remember this girl's name, and not even 30 seconds, her full name popped into my head! MIRACLES I tell you.

So you're probably wondering.....
Does this lady you tracted into want to be baptized?!
Did this girl watch Conference & want to learn more?!
No. And nope. The first lady ended up wanting to bash. The second lady never even read my message. But guess what, THAT'S OKAY.

President Nelson's talk this weekend about faith has completely changed my mindset! He said, "The answer to every problem is always to increase our faith." I just gotta keep building my faith!! I love the story he shared about the Saints in the islands. Those with the faith to stop the rain and those with the faith to sit through the rain! Right now I honestly feel like I'm sitting through the rain. BUT I have a smile on my face, the spirit in my heart, and faith that the sun will come out when it needs to:)☀️

sorry this was 12 years long but I love you all!! Thank you for your sweet emails! I will respond to them one day I promise haha

Ciao ciao, Sis Pitt
