Week 48: 11 down and 8 to go??
Heyooo it's been a minute so lemme give you all the highlights for these past two weeks!
- The mission-wide pday at Martin's Cove was a HIT. Seriously one of the greatest experiences I've had here on the mission. It was so powerful to be walking the same trails as the pioneers did, plus I actually appreciated it this time cuz I wasn't pulling a handcart and sweating through my bloomers like I was in 2014 lol.
- My Facebook account got hacked by some hater and I was so sad to lose all the people I was talking to/teaching on Facebook. I did everything I could to get I back until I eventually gave up. But GOD IS GOOD and I ended up getting it back a few days later. Honestly such a huge answer to my prayers!
- We haven't had a lesson with Brittany in awhile cuz she's been busy so that makes me #bummed but we are teaching some more awesome people!! They are all progressing slowly but surely. The Lord is definitely teaching me patience with this area:)) It has been tough but I have learned so much.
- President Palmer called and told us that in order for me to go to Italy in June I will need to extend my mission 30 days. So I said let's do it!! I feel so blessed I'll get to serve 2 missions AND get to be a missionary for a little longer. God is so aware of my desires & I truly feel my prayers being answered in so many ways.
- This week is our mission tour and it's been amazing. Elder Weatherford T. Clayton is here training the mission and I have already learned so much! Today he talked to us about how the missionary purpose should really be our purpose for the rest of our lives. And that the Doctrine of Christ is the road to eternal life. It's so true. I feel like my life is just beginning and there is so much more work to do!
Lately, I have been focusing on truly loving everyone we come in contact with, and seeing them all as children of God. I find myself saying "We love you!!" to random people that I just barely met. Some are taken back by it, and others are brought to tears. I've come to realize that every person deserves to feel loved and we, as disciples of Christ, are obligated to remind them that they are! Show God how much you love Him by sharing the love:)
John 15.9 "As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love."
LOVE YOU ALL,
SIS PITT
