Week 55: Forza Azzurri!
BUONGIORNOOOO
I'm alive! It has been an amazing few weeks here in Genova! Everyday is a new adventure and I love it:) Lots of laughing at language errors, running to catch trains, and waking up to the cheers of the entire country when Italia won the European cup!!! Best of all, we've seen some amazing miracles❤ I wanna share just one of them with you !
So last week I was asked by our bishop to give a talk in church...I was excited but also dreading it at the same time. Speaking italiano in front of the whole ward for 10 minutes?? Spookyyy! Anyways, as I prepared to write my talk I offered a prayer to my Father in Heaven. I asked Him to inspire me to know what to say, and I specifically asked that my words would touch at least ONE person. That I would say something that one person needed to hear & they would feel the spirit confirm it to them. I really wanted this. I had complete faith that God would provide me with this person. So sunday rolls around and we show up to church, and 4 people were there. No not 4 investigators. 4 people total. I was bummed! Here I spent all this time working on my talk and no one was gonna hear it! But I reminded myself, God will provide! I told him I had faith and I need to stick to that.
Sorella Hatch and I sent the Zoom link to a million people hoping they would join right before the meeting started. I got up and gave my talk. It actually went pretty well and the spirit was strong! Well, just a few minutes later we got a text from our friend Giulia (who we've been trying to get in contact with for 2 weeks). That text was my tender mercy, Giulia was the one person! She called me an angel, told us how much she needed to hear my words, and how the spirit helped her realize that the Atonement is for HER.
I just want you all to know that faith works. Prayer works. There's no doubt about it! When we ask for something, doubting nothing and expecting miracles, He always provides:)
Moroni 9:21
"Behold, I say unto you that whoso believeth in Christ, doubting nothing, whatsoever he shall ask the Father in the name of Christ it shall be granted him; and this promise is unto all, even unto the ends of the earth."
VI VOGLIO BENE
Sorella Pitt
