Week 33: the miracle of cookies

Image
What's up fam:) This week was great! Lots of little miracles reminding me that this is God's work and he is in the details of everything!  -we had a lesson fall through last pday night which was a bummer. But just a few minutes after that, one of our part member families asked us to come over for a last-minute lesson! Miracle - we taught ballet to the little primary girls this week and they told their friends and teachers all about it....so now half the town knows who we are and will actually talk to us!! - drove out to visit the furthest member in our whole area, who lives literally in the middle of nowhere. Not a living soul in sight. Haha he told us we were the 3rd person to ever knock on his door the whole 5 years he's lived there. We offered to share a message and he quickly shot us down but was kind enough to give us some food so the long trip was worth it 😎 - we had an amazing lesson with our girl Cashlyn. The spirit was overflowing out of their little trailer home....

CIAO! Wow this week flew by. I never thought I would enjoy the month of January...but the mission has a way of turning terrible things into great ones! I'm seriously so grateful to be out here serving the Lord:) Becoming more like my Savior each day and reminding everyone just how much God loves them makes me so happy! Mission life is the best life. Good luck getting me to come home one day mama Some Highlights: -had a bomb lesson with our golden part member family and we are gonna put their daughter Cashlyn on date this week:) when we asked her mom about it she told us Cashlyn has been wanting to be baptized for a year now! Crazy how some people are just so prepared and ready!! -3 of our awesome familes came to sacrament!! I sat through the meeting with so much love in my heart; offering prayers of gratitude for all the blessings we are receiving. Sundays have become like paydays. Heavenly Father is just so good and is helping us in so many ways! -Saturday we planned to contact 10...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and are hopeful for the new year:) I sure made a lot of goals for 2021. The first of those is to learn how to build a fire so I can get a little more respect from the people around here HA. But truly I'm so excited to learn more about my Savior Jesus Christ this year and become more like him. I found out this week that I'm staying another transfer here in Pavillion which I'm hyped about! There are still people here that I need to meet and I guess I'm just not cowgirl enough yet to leave;) Here's some highlights: - Had a wonderful Christmas spent with the zone! In the afternoon, we walked through the halls of  nursing homes and sang Christmas Hymns to the people there! It was so sweet, they all opened their doors to hear us and it made them so happy. - On Christmas Eve me and SisterJepsen went in one of the stalls of our barn and watched the Christ Child. It was so spiritual and humbling to be in a place ...

Week 29: long email, worth the read:)

Hello everyone:) this week I really just wanted to share my testimony with you. As I reflect on this past year, I am beginning to realize how much I have learned and grown. It is all thanks to my Savior, Jesus Christ.  If someone would have told me at this time last year, that I would be spending my next Christmas in the middle of WYOMING... I would have either laughed, cried or punched them in the face. But here we are:) God works in mysterious ways. This past year has been nothing I would have ever expected but everything I have always needed.  I've wanted to serve a mission my whole life, and I had my mind pretty set on exactly how it would go. After Covid hit, almost all the plans I had for myself and my future went down the drain. I wouldn't be able to attend the MTC like I'd always dreamed. I wouldn't get to serve in my original call to Italy, where my heart was so deeply attached. I wouldn't get to do "real" missionary work (aka knocking doors &...

BUON NATALE!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!! This week was seriously so great and I am embracing every accept of the Wyoming lifestyle:) imma come home a brand new women who knows everything there is to know about hunting, horses and hillbillies 🤠 The people here are the best and really only care about the most important things in life--family, God and animals (and their guns lol) Some highlights: - we sheared sheep. Yup you heard me. We helped our landlord shear his sheep!! We were in charge of catching the little suckers and dragging them over to be sheared. I ended up just chasing them in circles... - had an AMAZING Christmas Program at church this sunday:) so many people came! Our tiny little chapel was packed full and it made me so happy. Sis Jepson and I ended the program by singing " He Sent His Son". Tears were shed. Spirit was strong. I love Christmas sunday! - delivered a million living Christmas Cards to nonmembers who absolutely loved them!!  - had Zone Conference in Casper! ...

Week 26: goats and things

Buongiorno !! It was a week full of emotions here in the Great State of Wyoming. Lots of good ones, a couple not so good ones...but that's just a mission for ya;) Here's a little rundown: - we went to teach someone a lesson, but it turned into him just telling us every little reason why he claims the church isn't true:( Luckily I held back my tears (and fists) until we had left. - had an AMAZING lesson with these 2 young girls we are teaching! I don't even remember what we said cuz it was 100% spirit led and so wonderful. - we vaccinated goats. YES! Literally gave them shots hahaha. The service we do here is always so fun and interesting. I love it. This lady we helped has 200 goats! That's almost more than the amount of people that live in this town 🤣 - we had a beautiful fast and testimony meeting on Sunday. It was the first one I've been to since February--holy cow I've missed hearing others testimonies.  An old women in our branch got up and shared her ...
