Week 18: Look to God and Live!

Image
Ciao mi amici e famiglia! Well I've officially made it through 2 transfers in the mission field and we got the news last night that my comp and I are staying in Frederick! WAHOOOO! Such a blessing because I was not ready to leave the promised land. Also, another huge blessing it that my trainer, Sis Aiono, is coming back to the zone to be the new STL! It's gonna be a great transfer, I'm pumped. Besides the fact that winter is coming and we still aren't allowed to go inside andddd we are still on bikes:) But the Lord will provide! Highlights: - Henry is back on track and progressing towards baptism! He is willing to give up everything to follow the word of wisdom and we are helping him keep his commitments. *Send me your best coffee substitutes!* - Went on mini exchanges with the STLs and taught Kevin a lesson! We read 3 Nephi 11 with him and talked about baptism. He loved every word and it was such a blessing to have Sister Ripley there because she shared some things he...

Week 17: Rainbows

Image
Ciao a tutti! Whatta great week:) General Conference was incredible!! What were your guys' favorite talks or insights? I especially loved President Nelson's counsel to "Let God Prevail." So powerful! When we choose to have an eternal perspective and unwavering trust in God, life doesn't have go be gloomy or fearful. Life is amazing. God is so mindful of us. We are living in an world that needs Christ now more than ever before! Confrence was a bit of an eye opener for me. I've decided I need to stop waiting for this storm to pass and notice all the rainbows🌈 Last thursday we were just sitting in the church doing weekly planning when we heard a door open. A couple of seconds later this guy walks into the foyer and starts talking to us. He straight up asked us what church this was and if he could learn more about it. WHAT. We ended up talking to him for a good hour about his life, his beliefs, our beliefs, The Book of Mormon, the purpose of missionaries, etc. It...

Week 16: the shortest email you've ever seen:)

Ciao! This is gonna be speedy quick, but here are some highlights from the week! - Went on exchanges and it was a blast! I got to be with my bestie Sister Scott and we went to this place called "Marco's Hot Dogs and Tacos." Sounds nasty but I promise it's the best thing you'll ever eat here in Longmont!  - Had a great lesson with Henry and Zuriko! We taught the Plan of Salvation and it was so amazing to see Henry's eyes light up when we talked about being sealed to our families:) I'm so excited for their family to be brought into the gospel. - Spent 2 HOURS packing China for an old man in our ward who is moving. Lol he kept bringing out more and more boxes and we just kept bubble wrapping  - I did language study with Sorella Castallano and Anziano Toone (2 missionaries here in FOCO who are supposed to go to Italy). It's so fun getting to actually speak with people who can understand me and respond back! - Set an all time record and made it from the apa...

Week 15: JB!?!?!

Image
First off, lemme just say I haven't had FOMO my entire mission until today when I heard Justian Bieber came out with the greatest song in the world:,) If you're reading this go listen to it for me! Anyways....it was a good and busy week! Seriously each week gets busier and each week I get more stressed but the work is going good! Lots of awesome lessons with friends and members this week, lots of bike rides home in the dark, lots of good cooking by my companion and lots of tender mercies:) - It was my beautiful mom's birthday on Friday! She is so amazing and I wanna be just like her. I got to call both my parents and also mio Fratello, Elder Pitt!! It was so wonderful to talk all together and share our mission experiences❤ - We found a free couch on FaceBook and made the ZLs pick it up for our apartment ! Wahoo don't have to do comp study on the ground anymore - We went to baby Amara's 1 year old bday party😎 the bouncy house was the highlight of the week tbh - Watc...

Week 14: Miracle filled week!

Image
Ciao!! What a crazy, busy, overwhelming, wonderful week it's been! Sooo to begin, we got all moved into our disgustingly dirty basement apartment last Tuesday. We spent 8 hours deep cleaning it, just to get a call from the ZLs on Thursday night telling us we had to move out. Yep. Tears were shed, screams were yelled. Harold (the sweet old guy who lives upstairs) nearly broke his hip running down to see if we were okay after he heard us lol. There was an issue with the Elders moving into the apartments so they had to move us back to the same apartment complex...yes the one located 45 mins outside of our area:) but that's enough of my complaining because GOD IS GOOD! And even though it's been a crazy hectic week, we have been blessed with so many huge miracles ❤  - First. Henry (the stepdad of the little boy we have on date) texted us out of the blue this week and goes "Hey I wanna be baptized. What do I needa do?" Like whaaaaaaat. We are staring lessons with him to...
