Week 45: happy coincidences

Image
Hello hello!! Another great week in LoCo:) Here are some highlights: - BRITTANY. Elect. Golden. I'm convinced she's the reason I'm here. She was taught before Covid hit and was really progressing until the world got crazy and things fizzled out. We reaching out to her and she responded with: "I have been thinking about you Sisters! Can we meet Wednesday at 4?" lol if only all our friends could set up their own lessons. We had an amazing lesson about God's love and the spirit was so strong. I've gotta good feeling about this one:)) - went on exchanges and contacted a lady I found on FB back in October! She was super interested and we are teaching her this week. - filmed a Samoan dancing video with my Poly Sistas for our Facebook page! Hahah I wish I was polynesian. Don't we all?! - just to add to the polynesian things....an Elder in our mission who does fire knife dancing let me give it a shot😂 - MLC was inspiring. We talked all about President Nelson...

Week 44: Elder Soares!

Image
Hello:)) This week was amazing!! Full of little miracles and lots of inspiration. Elder Soares, along with a few members of the 70, came (virtually) to speak to our mission! It was so amazing to learn from them. Here are some of the quotes I loved: - "There are no coincidences in the Lord's work!" - "Come to every meeting with an empty heart, ready to be filled" - "When you feel uncomfortable, know that the Lord is teaching you." - "The essence of Jesus Christ is to love, share and invite." - "Missionary work is not a sacrifice, it is a privilege." - "Serving a mission is the best opportunity to learn lessons for your future life."  -  "Never let your lack of faith stand in the way of the Lord's will being fulfilled." I'm learning that everything starts with faith! The answer to every question is to increase our faith. Our personal mountains in life can be moved through our faith. I am so incredibly grate...

Week 43: God's Love

Image
Ciao a tutti! Hope you all are doing well:) It was a beautiful and sunny week here in CO! But of course it's snowing today...classic. Just wanna share a quick experience I had this week! So here's the thing, each week when I write these emails I really try to focus on all the good things! Miracles. Funny experiences. Spiritual thoughts. Tender mercies. And I promise my weeks are definitely full of them. BUT what I sometimes don't include is how hard the mission really is. There are days when I have no idea why I'm here & just wonder if I'm even making a difference. Nights when I'm praying on the bathroom floor just pleading to my Father in Heaven to help me. My biggest struggle for the past 10 months has been feeling like I'm not good enough. Telling myself that I'll never become who I need to be, feeling inadequate of my calling and being so dang hard on myself.  I had been fighting these emotions for a few days and I was praying for Heavenly Father...

Week 42: faith to sit through the rain

Image
Hi everyone!! I hope you all had a wonderful Easter/Conference weekend! This week was good. God blessed me with another polynesian companion:) Honestly by now, I can say I'm polynesian at HEART. Sister Tia is amazing & we're excited for a transfer of miracles!! Transfer weeks are always a bit crazy but as soon as my comp got here, we got to work! On Friday we were out contacting formers and we went to go see a girl named Zarah. I type in the address and pull up to the apartment that is tells me on the maps, #129. We say a prayer & knock that door. A lady steps out and we ask if her name is Zarah. She said no and that she doesn't know anyone with that name. SO we took this "accidental tracting" opportunity to teach her! We opened up the Book of Mormon & read with her. She loved it and wanted to meet again!! As we got back in the car I double-checked the address on my phone and realized Zarah's apartment was actually #128! WHAT? I know for a fact tha...

Week 41: Love Him because He love you first!

What is up everyone! Hope y'all are having an awesome spring break & enjoying the beach for me:) It's crazy to think that this time last year, everyone's spring break plans were cancelled, we were all stuck inside & life was crazy, scary and unknown. Looking back, to how scared and worried I was last year compared to how I feel now is a world of a difference! And I know that is because of this gospel that brings a lasting peace & comfort we can't find through anything else! Bring it on world, I'm not scared anymore 😎 ANYWAYS transfers came this week and yeah you guessed it. My sweet Soa Aiono is being booted to Wyoming:/ We all knew it was coming but I'm still sitting here in denial hahahah. I love that girl. If God sent me to Colorado for one reason it might just be her. The impact she has made on my life is unmatched. The biggest thing she taught we was that, "If you just do everything out of LOVE you can never go wrong." She loves every...

Week 40: long live elder pitt!

Image
HEY FAM! It's been such a great week! Flew by. Each transfer I've been here keeps getting faster & faster! Lowkey makes me sad because I wanna be a missionary forever hahaha:) We saw many miracles this week & many prayers were answered. More than anything, my testimony of prayer has grown the most this transfer! This area has been pretty difficult to find new people to teach, but for the past 3 weeks we have found 1-2 new people each week! Our goal this week was to find 2 new people. We had been praying hard to reach our goal & had faith that we would. It was already Thursday and we were still at 0. So we went to meet this guy that the Elders had passed off to us and come to find out he has 2 teenage daughters that joined us for the lesson:) So God pretty much dropped a miracle into our laps. We felt so grateful & blessed! So hyped to teach this family because y'all know I love teaching families!! This week I was also praying hard to see some success on Face...

Week 39: snowpocalypse

Image
Heyyyyy this is gonna be short & sweet cuz I've been slacking on my weeklys lately! But this was an awesome week! Our zone hit / exceeded all of our goals! Everyone seems to be super motivated and uplifted after an amazing Zone Conference:) This week we got to go on 2 full exchanges with some of our amazing sisters! It was so fun to be with them & learn so much from them. I think one of my favorite things about the mission is getting to know other missionaries, learning from their testimonies & watching them find joy in the work! The missionaries here in the FOCO mission are incredible and God definitely knew I needed to meet them.  Some of you might have heard, but Colorado got dumped on with snow this last weekend. We were stuck inside all day Sunday because it was coming down so hard. Then, the next morning we woke up to 3 feet of snow on the ground & a text from president declaring a "mission-wide service day!" So we went out & helped people all da...
